Roman Blinds

Roman Blinds are a clean modern product great for achieving a softer contemporary look while still offering the practicality of roller blinds. They can be fitted inside of a recess or outside mounted.

Nomad Blinds produces chain or cord operated Romans as well as motorised options. Motorised Romans can be controlled with the same remote you use for your Roller Blinds or even controlled through your Home Automation System.

Here at Nomad we offer two different styles of battening including our Timbertek and Romatek.

Timbertek offers you a rustic wooden look, great for the older federation style home.

Romatek is a more contemporary look which allows battening to become almost invisible allowing our beautiful range of fabrics to really shine.

Fabrics Used

Whether you are looking for a Sunscreen fabric which gently filters the light into your room while reflecting heat and glare, or a Transparent / Translucent (privacy) fabric which also allows light in to your room or even Blockout fabric to darken your room and provide privacy while you sleep, we promise that we can find a Roman Blind fabric to suit your situation.

Nomad Blinds manufactures Roman Blinds in four main categories

  1. Blockout Roman Blinds - ideal for bedrooms and home cinemas these fabrics block out light and reduce heat. Blockout fabrics give you privacy and protect furniture and flooring from sun eeffects like fading and bleaching.
  2. Translucent Roman Blinds - Ideal for living areas these fabrics reduce light, reduce heat, offer privacy and protect furniture and flooring from sun eeffects like fading and bleaching. These fabrics are ideal when both privacy and light are wanted but no view is required.
  3. Transparent / Sheer Roman Blinds - Ideal for living areas these fabrics reduce light, reduce heat, offer protection for furniture and flooring from sun effects like fading and bleaching. These fabrics are ideal when light is required, these fabrics also offer limited view through.
  4. Screen / Sheer Roman Blinds - Ideal for living areas these fabrics reduce light, offer heat reduction and glare control while maintaining the view.

All our blinds with varying efficiency reduce the heat as well as stop direct light, to help protect furniture, remove glare from TV and computer screens and help insulate the home during the winter.

Options Available

Battening

Roman Blinds are available with front and rear battening (timbertek) or rear only (Romatek) which is our Standard.

Control Options

Cord or Chain operated controls are our standard options and are charged for at the same price.

Acorns and Cleats

All our Acorns and Cleats come in clear plastic as standard on our cord operated Romans, with Gold and Chrome plated options as an upgrade.

Turnaround

All of our Roman Blinds are no sew Roman systems and as such can be manufactured with a very quick 10 working day turnaround time.

Motorisation

Motorised Roman Blinds are available using the Blindware Motolux motorised head rail.
