Blockout Curtains
Lined Curtains
This is a curtain that is lined - with a basic face fabric (the fabric that you see facing into the room). The lining (blockout) is attached at the head of the curtain and sits behind the curtain on the window side.
Unlined or Coated Fabrics
Unlined or blockout coated curtains, do not have a separate sewn in lining, they have the coating applied directly to the face fabric, so there is only one layer of fabric. The advantages of coated fabrics are that they give a less bulky look when gathered and the cost of the curtain is reduced as there is no lining.
Sheer Curtains
Sheers used in conjunction with a blockout fabric as a lining or used behind a lined curtain can lift and soften any room. Today's sheer fabrics come in such a huge selection, from sparkling organza's to natural linen look etc.
Traditionally sheers were used behind a feature curtain to provide light filtering and privacy during the day, but these days we are seeing sheers being used as a feature. There are so many wonderful sheers on the market that there is something to suit every look and help create every mood.

Reverse Heading
Reverse pleats (also known as box pleats), are simply pleated with the pleats on the back side of the curtain instead of on the front. These curtains add an elegant and modern look to any room in the house. Reverse pleat curtains have a very tailored and elegant appearance - perfect for a contemporary look.
Pinch Pleat Heading
Pinch Pleats are groups of triple pleats, spaced evenly along the curtain which creates a formal heading, with the benefit of very neat stacking to the side. This style is ideal for a formal dining room, or can be used for practical reasons where these is not much wall space beside the window.
Gathered/Pencil Heading
Pencil Pleat heading are gathered headings which allow you to draw (expand or reduce) the width of the curtain to suit your window width. Pencil Pleating is one of the most common treatments, using a greater width of fabric with evenly spaced narrow pleats. This treatment is versatile, working well with prints and plains and different textures. The finish is both casual and cosy, perfect for lounge or bedroom. There are loose and tight pencil pleats, both of which create a full appearance.
Ripple Fold Heading
Ripple fold headings are a simple, elegant and durable curtain heading. Ripple Fold headings are on a track the curtains can be both hand and cord operated, the tracks can even be bent around corners or in continuous curves to suit unusual installations. Ripplefold curtains can be made as a double-sided curtain, making them ideal for room dividers, privacy screens or any situation where you want a different fabric on both sides of a curtain.
Heavy Curtains for Home Theatres
A home theatre curtain can serve several purposes, light control, noise suppression and adding to decor such as covering the screen providing the movie theatre effect when it opens before your favourite movie. No matter what the purpose, here are a few things to keep in mind as you search for the ideal home theatre curtain. Colour and texture are important. Avoid bright colours, such as bright red or purple, or shiny fabrics as they will cause reflections on the screen. Motorisation for home theatres is the way of the future.
Motorised Curtains Enjoy home automation with motorised curtains. Motorised curtain tracks offer great versatility. The tracks can be curved in multiple ways meeting any radius requirement. We can provide you with several options including remote control, wall mounted switches, and even timer and sun and wind sensor controlled systems. We are also able to link our motorised systems in with your home automation system (C-BUS etc).
